PRINTING TECHNIQUE

Explore our selection of fine printing techniques and discover how each method brings its own character, texture, and visual depth to a stationery suite.

From the sculpted impressions of letterpress and the luminous finish of foil stamping to the delicate details of digital and specialty printing, every technique offers a unique way to express the tone and aesthetic of your celebration.

We invite you to browse this guide to understand the qualities of each process, compare finishes, and explore the possibilities for creating stationery that feels both personal and enduring.

Digital
printing

Digital printing offers a smooth, flat finish without impression or texture. Without the need for printing plates, it allows for a more accessible approach while maintaining clarity and precision. Best suited for our 300 gsm cardstock.

Foil press
printing

Foil press creates a refined, metallic finish by pressing a layer of foil into the paper using custom plates. Each color is applied individually, resulting in a crisp, luminous surface with a subtle impression.

Available in a range of tones—including white, gold, silver, copper, rose gold, bronze, and more—and suitable for all paper types.

2D blind emboss
printing

Blind embossing creates a raised design in the paper without the use of ink. Using custom plates, the paper is pressed between two surfaces to form the design, resulting in a refined, sculptural effect.

Suitable for all paper types.

2D EMBOSS.jpg

3D blind emboss
printing

While traditional 2D embossing offers subtle raised detail, 3D embossing introduces a heightened sense of dimension and craftsmanship. Defined by its sculptural depth, crisp contours, and pronounced relief, it creates a striking interplay of light, shadow, and texture that elevates the overall design.

Emboss with foil/ink printing

Foil/Ink embossing is a premium finishing technique in which metallic foil is applied and then embossed, creating elegant raised details that add depth, texture, and sophistication to the design.

[6]

Deboss
printing

Debossing is the process of pressing text or artwork into the paper to create a subtle raised or recessed effect without adding any color, ink, or foil.

LETTERPRESS 2.jpg

[7]

Letterpress
printing

Letterpress creates a deep, tactile impression in the paper, achieved through custom plates and traditional press printing. Each color is applied individually, resulting in a richly textured, dimensional finish.

We can print in any Pantone color, with the exception of white. Best suited for handmade paper and begin 360 gsm  cardstock.

OUR PROCESS

We understand that planning your wedding invitations involves many decisions and countless options. We are here to guide you through every step of the process. Below, you’ll find a clear outline of the steps to order invitations from our Custom Bespoke Invitation.

01 / DISCOVER

Begin by exploring our collections, portfolio, or Pinterest for inspiration. Consider the overall aesthetic of your wedding, including your preferred color palette, motifs, floral direction, venue, and atmosphere.

The clearer your vision, the more seamlessly we can translate it into a stationery suite that feels cohesive with your celebration.

02 / QUOTATION

Once we have received your desired suite details and estimated quantity, we will prepare a detailed quotation outlining the recommended printing methods, materials, embellishments, and investment.

03 / CONSULTATION

During the consultation process, conducted via Instagram, Facebook, or email, we will guide you through every aspect of your stationery suite—from paper selections and color palettes to printing techniques and finishing details.

Together, we will refine every element until the proposal reflects the right balance of aesthetic vision, practical needs, and overall investment.

Once approved, we will move forward with securing your project.

04 / BOOKING

To reserve your place in our production schedule, a 40% non-refundable deposit is required.

Upon receipt of the deposit, your project will be officially confirmed and design work will commence. The remaining balance, along with shipping costs, will be due once production is complete and final photographs of the finished suite have been provided.

05 / CONTENT & DESIGN

Following booking confirmation, we will request your final invitation wording, preferred color palette, typography selections, artwork references, and any additional details relevant to your design.

A detailed digital proof will be prepared within approximately five business days. Three rounds of revisions are included to ensure every detail aligns with your vision. Additional revisions are available upon request for an additional fee.

Production will begin only after written approval of the final artwork.

06 / PRODUCTION

One of the questions I hear most often from clients is, “Will we get to hold & touch the invitation before mass production?”

While creating a fully printed a sample is often impractical due to the time, craftsmanship, and production costs involved, we believe that every client deserves complete confidence in the final result. Our invitation mock-up process was developed with this in mind—offering a refined and realistic preview that allows couples to visualize the composition, materials, colors, and overall aesthetic of their suite before production begins.

Carefully assembled to reflect the final piece as accurately as possible, these mock-ups provide a tangible sense of the invitation experience and have become an invaluable part of our design process. Time and again, clients remark on how closely the finished stationery mirrors the original presentation, offering reassurance that every detail has been thoughtfully considered from the very beginning.

Also this is standard practice among most bespoke invitation studios, as printed proofs are often costly and impractical for custom projects.

Production timelines vary depending on the printing method selected.

Digital printing generally requires 10–15 business days, while specialty printing methods such as Letterpress, Foil Press, Blind Emboss, and other handcrafted finishes typically require approximately 25 business days.

Rush production may be available upon request for an additional fee. Suites incorporating handmade paper may require up to 30 business days.

07 / DELIVERY

Once production and assembly are complete, each invitation suite is carefully packaged to ensure it arrives safely. The remaining balance and shipping fee will be due after you receive photos of the finished invitations.

International shipping generally requires 5–7 business days, depending on destination and customs processing. Please note that we do not provide guest mailing services.
